How It Works

Step 01

Securely Upload Your Statements

Drop your messy, multi-page PDF bank and credit card statements directly into our secure portal. Our system supports high-volume, consolidated PDFs containing multiple different accounts.

Because we operate on a strict zero-data-retention architecture, your files are processed in-memory on Canadian-hosted servers and are permanently deleted the moment the extraction is complete.

We're going to do the first pass, and prepare a working paper that makes it easy for your team members to finish the job.

Step 02

Let the AI do a First Pass

Select and input the client's fiscal year end (eg., December 31st, 20XX). Optionally you may enter a few sentences of context to help the AI understand the company, but you don't have to.

Hit the Start button. Our AI pipeline takes over. It reads the PDF like a human accountant, mathematically verifies the opening and closing balances, detects the account numbers, and categorizes every transaction against a standard Chart of Accounts.

Even multiple accounts on the same bank statement is separately reconciled. Inter-account transactions between them are matched.

Go grab a cup of coffee, come back, and that whole year of 1000+ transactions? Is going to finish itself.

Step 03

Secure Download your Excel Workbook

In a few minutes, you receive an email with an encrypted link. The link will download our proprietary excel working paper. It includes a summarized Trial Balance, a General Ledger, and both monthly & annual reconciliations.

We don't make guesses we can't figure out, when something is not clear to the AI, we leave it uncategorized. Within the excel workbook is a "human work area" allowing your team to easily review those uncategorized transactions and categorize themselves.

Sometimes mistakes happen, such as missed transactions, just like a human. Again within the workbook is an easy way to find those missing transactions and your team member can add them in manually. Don't worry, it doesn't happen much, so there's not much to input manually; usually nothing.

The creators of this app are CPAs with their own public practice firm. They've been using this app on their own clients. You will find the design and usability choices expressed in our working paper to represent what real world accounting and bookkeeping firms need.
